Tina Pierson B.A.

BIO

I completed my undergraduate degree at McMaster University in philosophy. While there I volunteered as a peer helper who helped other students with their academic performance.

I won several awards during this period of study including;

  • The Humanities Essay Prize

  • The Lorna and David Somers Award for Leadership and Community Involvement

  • The Achievement Award of Excellence

From there I attended the University of Ottawa School of Law, where I was both junior and senior editor of the Law Review. I also worked for the University of Ottawa Legal Clinic.

Although I only completed two years of my J.D., I had a full and educational experience at law school.

From 2018 - 2019 I returned to school for Paralegal Studies at Mohawk College, where I earned a 94% average.

I have completed some specializations including; an intensive Restorative Justice course, an intensive Provincial Offences course, an intensive criminal law course, and have recently completed advanced training for notary publics.

I am passionate about reading and writing and I write freelance articles on the side for fun. I am a wife and a mother to an amazing 8 year old boy. I enjoy hiking and going on adventures and road trips with my family.
